Prior to a new coating treatment, sandblasting is a must. Paint, sealants and protective layers won’t adhere properly if the surface they’re bonding too has a buildup of dirt, mineral or grime. Sandblasting is used for cleaning or prepping metal and utilitarian structures for new coatings or repairs.
